STAGES

This program supports youth to create strategies for the development of successful employment trajectories and supports them to build confidence in their ability to establish a path for themselves that is both satisfying and viable for the future.

Program Eligibility
  • A young adult aged 16 to 29
  • Unemployed or Precariously Employed
  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Living in British Columbia
  • Not receiving duplicative financial supports from another provincially or federally funded labour market program
  • Is not actively working towards a high-school education
  • Is generally Employment Ready

Basic Security Training

This certified training teaches you the basic skills required for a career in security, and is offered through the Justice Institute of British Columbia

Industry / Construction Safety Trainings

This training is highly customizable, depending on your needs, and could include:

  • Fall Protection
  • PCST
  • CSTS
Computer Skills

This training is highly customizable, depending on your needs, and could include:

  • Basic Computers
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Certifications)
  • Introduction to accounting / bookkeeping
  • Business communications
  • Keyboarding
Early Childhood Education Assistant

This training prepares you to educate and care for young children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Health Care Assistant practitioner

This training prepares you to provide personal care to patients under the direction of a nurse.
